PlayDate! – Social skills classes ages 2-12
PlayDate is a developmental and play-based social skills group designed to support foundational social cognitive competencies. These small, 90-minute groups are co-taught by two ConnectEd Developmental Specialists and include:
- parent-only information sessions,
- weekly written information
- individualized child goals.
Although “social” is not always easy, PlayDate uses evidence-based practices to increase self-awareness and social outcomes while keeping our groups fun, and our children engaged. Our developmental curriculum pulls directly from the current literature including Developmentally Appropriate Practice (http://www.naeyc.org/DAP), Michelle Garcia Winner’s I-LAUGH and We Thinkers Curriculum (www.socialthinking.com), and the ABA literature. Children may be individually screened to determine appropriate and well-matched group placement.
Upcoming Session dates: Spring 2 session begins the week of April 22nd. Groups run in 6-week session. Cost: $750.00 per 6 week session (90 minute groups that meet 1x weekly). We are just a phone call or email away if you have any questions about the program. Please contact us for more information.
Jump Start to School – August 5-9, 2019 (groups run 1 hour each day)
The Jump Start to School Program prepares children for the transition back to school after a busy summer. Children entering kindergarten through 6th grade are welcome to attend this week-long, daily group experience. We will use role-play, video-modeling, hands-on activities and discussions to remind, prepare and directly practice the skills used during those first few weeks of the new school year. Cost: $700.00
For information or registration for any of the groups, please send an email to: firstname.lastname@example.org. Families new to our services will also need to complete our Intake and Enrollment form located on this website.
