Myles Jackson
ConnectEd Educator
Working with children gives me so much joy and fulfillment every day. Throughout my time in college I knew I wanted a career working with children, but didn’t land on special education until later in life. I graduated from Whittier College with a degree in biology before pursuing a masters in public health, where I was blessed to work in a lab that worked with the autism population. I wrote my dissertation on the different outcomes of autism, and wanted to continue my work with children with autism and ADHD.
I started working as a paraprofessional at a non-public school in Concord, where I saw the impact that dedicated professionals could have on the lives of children and their families. I vowed to continue to pursue this for the rest of my life. I started working as a kindergarten special education teacher in Livermore and now work as a behavioral support staff in different classrooms while I prepare to go back to school to pursue a degree in neuropsychology. I am so excited to start working at connectEd and be a part of a community that provides love and support to each of our students and their families.
