Meredith Wike
Founder and Director of Summit Behavioral Consulting LLC and Board Certified Behavior Analyst
Prior to obtaining my MS in Counseling Psychology from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill my career began as a special education teacher in Asheville, NC. My work in education sparked an interest in ABA setting me on my path in the field of behavior analysis.
Obtaining my BCBA in 2009, my clinical approach is cultivated from training and experience in naturalistic child-led play based methodologies and the analysis of verbal behavior. I’m a certified practitioner in PEERS, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Organizational Behavior Management (OBM).
These ABA technologies combined with completion of the Compassion Institute’s Compassion Cultivation Training (CCT) program built the foundation of my approach to supporting clients.
After operating an ABA clinic in Saint Kitts, Caribbean and a practice in Virginia for a number of years, I relocated to California, initially working for a large ABA company before founding Summit Behavioral Consulting in 2017.
Through Summit, I apply the clinical foundation of ABA practices leveraging and enhancing it with a human-centric, compassionate approach with the goal of empowering my clients to access and enjoy life’s offerings.
My approach integrates both clients’ needs and caregiver and family coaching and support to create values-based, lasting, meaningful growth.
I currently serve on the board of Balance Santa Cruz County, an organization offering compassionate care support to individuals with unique needs in the community.
